Bio: Greedo, son of Greedo the Elder, was a Rodian bounty hunter. Although his father had been an esteemed hunter, and the chief rival of Navik the Red, the younger Greedo had little of his father's prowess and was easily killed by Han Solo in Chalmun's Cantina on Tatooine. (Stolen from Wookieepedia.)

Commentary: When the new line started, people were pretty stoked to see returning classic figures like Greedo. This one had a less goofy face and more detail than ever before, but still seemed a little off. Later releases changed up the coloring and the pin head, but this figure had great hands with long, weird fingers and lots of bumps on his skin. It's also worth noting this was the first Greedo action figure to sport a vest, so this release represented an important step in the right direction when it came to making the perfect figure. With six points of articulation and no restrictions to speak of, it was a great toy. The unique hands presented a problem for holding guns, but added tabs on the grips allowed the bounty hunter to hold on to his firearms with minimal problems. I guess there's nothing terribly wrong with the figure, but Hasbro made so many improvements since its release-- and there have been four unique Greedo figures since this one-- that this is a release that really isn't worth your trouble to track down unless you want all those early modern figures, and since they're cheap, it would make sense if you did.

Collector's Notes: Greedo had a decent run into early 1997, but didn't stick around forever. Today, this is probably the least desired Greedo action figure.
