Bio: As one of the royal handmaidens, Sabé assists Queen Amidala with her elaborate wardrobe, hairstyles, and make-up. The handmaidens act as bodyguards to the Queen and are chosen for their intelligence, courage, and loyalty. Sabé is the Queen's most valued handmaiden, and has been trained to act as the Queen's decoy in times of danger. (Taken from the figure's Force File.)

Commentary: You can do a lot with six points of articulation, as Sabé proves. She can't sit, but her unique arm joints allow her to have her hands at her sides, or both hands on the blaster facing forward. It's a sign of good design, as this colorful release was one of the figures during the surprisingly well-received Power of the Jedi era. The figure's sculpt is true to the film, the design is about as authentic as you can probably hope to get, and the deco is good enough. Sure, there's room for some improvement, but odds are spending more money on paint ops wouldn't yield a significantly better figure. It'd probably just be merely good, and this figure is already good as it is. As such, you should probably consider getting one if you stumble on it and don't have an allergy to the first prequel.

Collector's Notes: Based on a brief appearance in The Phantom Menace, this decoy came and went and has yet to see production again. It probably won't, given how much product gets made from that film these days.
