Bio: A noble order of protectors unified by their belief and observance of the Force, the Jedi hearken back to a more civilized, classical time in galactic history. Their order is ancient, spanning over a thousand generations. As the Galactic Republic grew over the centuries, the Jedi came to serve it as guardians of peace and justice. Headquartered on Coruscant, the Jedi trained, studied, and planned from the impressive Jedi Temple, a towering edifice rising high above the surrounding structures on the city-planet. Commentary: It seems somebody at Lucasfilm must have wrote a memo around 2003 to make every single Cantina alien as a Jedi eventually, starting with the likes of this Jedi Knight Rodian. Despite having only four points of articulation (shoulders, neck, waist), it's a nice looking figure. It combines the style of the 1990s Rodian head (smaller, as seen on the first Greedo and only Greeata figures) with the more or less modern proportions of a Jedi warrior. Both hands are posed ready to hit a homer, or perhaps to slay a droid.

Our hero is a decent figure with a good sculpt and above-average deco, but it falls flat due to the unique pose which does not lend it to doing much other than standing there looking ready to attack something. It's more or less a small plastic statue, but for its original cost, it's a great item. Three orignal Jedi sculps for $10 was a steal even in 2003, and today it's almost laughable to expect a deal that good to come around again. My little green friend here has longish "hair," lots of bumps, and just enough detail to make you smile. If you like the pose he's standing in, get one, you'll love it. If you don't, well, don't get it because that's really all he's capable of.

Collector's Notes: Released in 2003, this set still commands a decent chunk of change-- typically around $20. As it has three unique Jedi warriors, this makes sense-- there are only so many Jedi figures out there, after all. As far as I can tell, no official Lucas story incorporated this character, and as such he has no actual name just yet Fans of the Cantina might also want to check out Foul Moudama (Muftak/Talz Jedi), Voolvif Monn (Lak Sivrak/Wolfman Jedi), Roron Corrob (Hammerhead/Ithorian Jedi), or any of the many other unique aliens out there.
