Bio: Kit Fisto was one of the few Jedi to survive the extended melee on Geonosis that marked the beginning of the Clone Wars. He fought well against the Geonosian and battle droid forces, leading a special unit of Clone Troopers into the thick of the conflict. During the Clone Wars, he provided aid to the Mon Calamari on their home planet, leading Clone Troopers in an underwater battle, for which he was particularly suited, as an ampibious Nautolan with the ability to breathe underwater. (Taken from the figure's 2003 cardback.)

Commentary: While on some levels this is the worst Kit Fisto, it's still an essential figure. Sure, it doesn't have the articulation of the 2003 or 2005 figures, but it does come from the concepts presented in the first Clone Wars animated series-- and this, friends, makes it awesome. In the show, Kit Fisto is seen on the water planet of Mon Calamari and he's swimming for the forces of good alongside the lobster-like Mon Calamari natives against the Quarren, or squid heads. This figure represents his minimalist outfit fairly well, although there is a problem-- his skin is a little browner than it should be. The character is fairly green all over, but if you look at this one's face, he does have a passing resemblance to an apple left out too long. Still, he looks pretty slick. His hair tentacles are flowing gracefully, his muscles are well-built, and he has... some articulation. The figure, sadly, has about the least articulation of any Kit Fisto with only 8 joints-- the standard six, plus ankles. The figure may be best-suited to sitting in the Kit Fisto Jedi Starfighter, but well, that's another tirade. If you liked the cartoons and plan on getting any of the Mon Calamari troopers coming in late 2008, you should go get one.

Collector's Notes: The first release of the figure from 2003 and the second from 2006/2007 are basically identical except for the packaging and display stand. As in the 2006 release has one. If you have to pick, get The Saga Collection one to open as that's one more stand for your stash. (MORE IMAGES)
