CLONE TROOPER Battle of Utapau Bio: As the droid armies decend upon Utapau, Obi-Wan Kenobi abnd Commander Cody lead a team of clone troopers into battle. Their mission is to protect Obi-Wan and help capture General Grievous at all costs. These troopers fight bravely for Jedi Master Kenobi until their allegiances change after the execution of Order Sixty-Six. (Taken from the figure's box.) Image: Adam Pawlus' toy shelves. Commentary: It's orange! There weren't many styles of Clone Trooper that Hasbro skipped when Revenge of the Sith hit theaters (and DVD), but the Clones of Utapau didn't happen until almost a year later. Thankfully, Hasbro did a nice job and the end results were more than worth the wait. They used their super-popular super-articulated Clone body, added some orange, scratched it up a bit, and blammo-- new figure. The deco is pretty sharp, and the sculpt is pretty fantastic, but this was one of many figures where Hasbro left the belt upside-down again (forming a n-shape is correct, the belt has a u-shape on the boxes on the front)-- so that was a bit of a missed opportunity. Still, the figure is a good one, and there's nothing really bad about it. If you collect them by the dozens, you might be miffed that they all have the exact same battle-damage markings. Which is to be expected when you mass-produce figures like this one. Collector's Notes: This figure shipped throughout 2006 and was fairly easy to get in some markets-- but it still sold through quickly, faster than most other "old" figures that shipped all year. So if you didn't hit stores semi-regularly, you may have missed out on this one. (You shouldn't do that.) It's a nice one, you should probably get a few to go with Cody and Obi-Wan.
