Bio: As a trusted advisor to the Gungan leader Boss Nass, Rep Been is a respected voice in the Gungan government. His primary responsibility as Keeper of Ancient Records gives him access to a number of secrets hidden to most other Gungans. He fully supports Boss Nass's decision to evacuate to the Sacred Place during the crisis on Naboo. (Taken from the figure's cardback.)

Commentary: New Gungans from Hasbro are far and few between. Sure, there were a whole bunch in 1999 and 2000, but after that? Not much. Rep Been was pretty much the only Gungan in circulation in 2006... which would make it one of very few Gungan figures on the market since 2002. Seemingly designed to fit the Power of the Jedi aesthetic, the figure has no real leg articulation to speak of, but has wrists, elbows, shoulders, and purely theoretical head movement. The shoulders are largely blocked by the upper parts of the gown, so basically the only real movement you have here are the swivel elbows and wrists. Since there's not much this figure can do other than stand anyway, it's not like you're missing out on much-- it's more or less a display item. Thankfully, it's a good one-- the robes have plenty of detail, the face deco is adequate (the eyes could be more expressive), and it pretty much looks like the character in the movie and reference guides. If your Naboo collection needs a boost, get this. He'll go great with your Boss Nass and Naboo refugees.

Collector's Notes: Having been made available just last year, the figure hasn't found its way to repaint/repack/rerelease land yet. Given the lack of love for Gungans, I have low expectations that we'll ever see this figure in stores again. As such, buy one on eBay if you want it.
