While it doesn't have the same ring as Spaceballs II: The Search for More Money, it was announced that an animated TV show based on the 1987 Mel Brooks Sci-Fi Comedy Spoof will premier on G4TV in the fall of 2007.

Spaceballs: The Animated Series, will spoof current blockbusters as well as every genre of entertainment from movies and reality TV to culture and politics. There is no doubt that the Star Wars prequel trilogy will provide loads of material for the series to entertain us with.  An initial run of 13 episodes is already in production, which Mel Brooks voicing two characters, undoubtedly Yogurt and President Scroob. Thomas Meehan, a writer on the film and co-writer of the show's pilot episode with Brooks, will oversee all writing for the series.
