If all goes as planned, 2007 could see another re-release of Star Wars on the big screen, just in time for its 30th anniversary.  The hook this time - not that we'll really need one - the re-releases will be in 3D, for viewing in regular movie houses.  Lucas and other directors are promoting a new digital alteration to convert films to 3D, as well as the digital projection systems movie houses will need.  News stories may be found at Yahoo News and Cinema Confidential.  Many thanks to Mike and Greg for the links!
