Hasbro Q&A From Comic-Con
7/23/2004 12:06:13 PM - Adam_May

The news from Hasbro's Q&A at San Diego Comic Con has begun to trickle in, and, naturally, we've got you covered.

Four waves of figures will transition us between the end of OTC and the beginning of Episode III. A Naboo Wave  will bring us Padmé Celebration and Handmaiden Rabé from The Phantom Menace. A Cantina Wave will bring us Feltipern Trevagg (the Goatal), Dannik Jerriko, and Myo (the Cyclops) from A New Hope. A Coruscant Wave will bring us Sly Moore, Pablo Jill, and Wookie Senator Yarua from Attack of the Clones. Finally, there will be a Sneak Preview Wave for Episode III. The contents were not confirmed, but Galactic Hunter's Swami readers have already been clued in.

Hasbro confirmed that there are currently TWO (that's 2, kiddies) Boba Fett Vintage 12" figures in circulation right now. One represents our favorite hunter from The Empire Strikes Back (the grey outfit), and the other represents Fett from Return of the Jedi.

Hasbro does not intend to continue the Vintage Original Trilogy Collection beyond the current 12 figures, although, as with most things, never say never.

New Star Wars: Clone Wars animated figures on tap for 2005 include Anakin Skywalker, General Grievous, and ARC Trooper.

Look for more Galactic Heroes coming down the road, with themed sets like a Skiff Wave featuring Luke Skywalker (Jedi Knight), Lando Calrissian (Skiff Guard), Nikto, and a Gamorrean Guard. Also look for a Jawa and his natural predator the Tusken Raider in super-cutesy kiddie form.

The Galactic Heroes line will also release an electronic version of the popular X-Wing Fighter.

2004 will also bring us the highly requested Unleashed figure of IG-88.

Check the Galactic Hunter Image Bank  for more photos from the Q&A. There is more to come, as always, so stay tuned to Galactic Hunter.

Discuss this in our forms.
