Let's Obsess About The Retro Collection with my Dial-Up-Era Dump of Information

By Adam Pawlus — Saturday, May 10, 2025

Hi kids!  Did you know this site is largely financed by you?  It's true!  The Galactic Hunter domain name is up for renewal this year, and I pay for it and my hosting fees through the Galactic Hunter Patreon.  If you have a dollar or two, or some small amount of money you won't miss, I would appreciate any minimal tier of support you can offer.  If a couple dozen people can kick in $1 a month, it does a lot of good.  You won't miss it - I hope - and it keeps me making weird projects for the entire internet like...

The Retro Collection Dump Page!

It's filled with information that I would hope someone coming to the line would find useful, like upcoming releases, a list of figures with lightsabers, and a tally of how many women we have in the line. I'm hoping to augment these with group shots in the coming weeks.

Why does it look like it was coded by a student in 1997 with a Jalfrezi bookmark?  Because I think that sort of thing is funny, and because anyone with a vintage iMac or CRT-era PC can view it when testing their browsers at http://galactichunter.com/retro/.

I wish I had some good, weird, or secret news I could share with you. I'd direct you to the Healey Made Shop for some nifty Kenner-adjacent fan-made figures. Super7 continues to make some really nice Retro-flavored figures, and I've really liked their recent Quicksilver and Baron Karza. I would also recommend checking out the Garden State Kaiju shop. I liked the first release of the Mudbelly vinyl figure a lot - the original Kenner Dewback sculptor worked on it.
