Episode II and III 3D: Nevermind! Says Star Wars.com

By Adam Pawlus — Monday, January 28, 2013
Star Wars.com posted a story indicating episodes II and III in 3D are postponed, which probably (but not definitely) may mean the same can be said for the original trilogy whose release dates were never given.  They say:

"Lucasfilm has decided to postpone this fall's scheduled release of Star Wars Episodes II and III in 3D. Given the recent development that we are moving forward with a new Star Wars trilogy, we will now focus 100 percent of our efforts on Star Wars: Episode VII in order to ensure the best possible experience for our fans. We will post further information about our 3D release plans at a later date."

So what does this mean for you, the well-read toy collecting public?

We're not sure yet, as numerous rumors and "rumors" have been going around over the last week.  As we don't know when Hasbro found out, we don't know if the death of Droid Factory and the lack of new figure product on-shelf (or available online for pre-order) is related to a major shake-up or if things will come out as usual.  With Toy Fair mere days away, we will absolutely have more information as we can get it, which we will share with you, because we love you all.
