UPDATE: Sold out - Onell Design just dropped Searsden, which is presumably a blue-with-silver-boots redeco of Pheyden, in its online shop along with a new RealXHead Pheyaos (in 3 colors) and Knights of the Slice/Toy Pizza Rift Killer Hyper Mordireus - the latter of which is a 3 3/4-inch figure that will fit right in with your old Kenner Mini-Rigs. Click here to check availability.
It has sold out, but we want to point you to the Onell Design Glyos Walruden anyway. It's the fourth Kenner Cantina-style figure from the company so far, and I assume we're almost due for the next release. Read the full review at 16bit.com.
It's up! A new figure based on the Robo-Force mold is just one of several new releases from Onell Design, but the one you care about is Walruden. It's available now but the final photography is being withheld - you'll see it first when it arrives, and it'll probably be colored just like Walrus Man. Click here to see what's available.
I'm writing that as a question, but the answer is probably "yes." Onell Design have been dropping about 1 Kenner-colored tribute figure every month, and we've been looking at the likes of Hammerden, Greeden, and Pheytooth as they come up. At 9:30 PM EST this Thursday, Onell Design will be releasing new figures. But we don't know which ones yet, because that's a big part of the fun.
(Update 2/5/2019: a comment in that posting from Onell Design confirms the identity of the figure in question. And he doesn't like you.)
A few weeks ago Onell Design shipped out Hammerden, a Hammerhead-colored take on the Pheyden action figure. It's pretty cool! I posted a review here. It has since sold out, but along with Greeden and Pheytooth it's a pretty swell group of aliens.
Onell Design has new Glyos-compatible figures every month or so, and the last release had Pheytooth - a Snaggletooth-inspired figure. I looked at it over at 16bit.com, and figured I may as well share it here. Previous figures include nods to troopers, Greedo, and even Vlix - so I like these a lot. Read on!
A mysterious figure appeared in the Onell Design release November 29 called "Pheytooth." It has a red hue on the graphic, and the last mystery figure was green and called Greeden. And this is a Star Wars site, so it could be anything. I wouldn't want to hit a snag making the wrong guess, but it's up for grabs now for $11. Order one, won't you? These tend to be limited to the low hundreds, and while I can't say I know the run here they tend to disappear in a day or three.
Another off-topic figure, but with some news rolled in. Onell Design will be holding a drop Thursday night at 9:30 PM EST, with another new figure that might look somewhat similar to this one in terms of tributes to days gone by.
But from last month, take a look at this Greeden - it's Kenner's Greedo colors mixed with Pheyden's design, giving us all a great tribute to a classic alien action figure. The next one has not yet been announced, and it will be sold as a mystery figure tonight. Click here to read about Greeden.
I'm a big fan of Onell Design's works. Their indie action figures range from wholly original creations to sly tributes to figures from the past 50 years, and tonight they announced Greeden - a mystery figure. Previous efforts and comments would indicate it's likely their mascot alien Pheyden, but in Kenner 1979 Greedo colors. I ordered one, and we'll review it here when it shows up.
We don't usually post non-Hasbro, non-Star Wars figures but this one was special. Onell Design and I kicked around a couple of ideas and now you can have an indie figure tribute to Droids Vlix! It's Vlixden, a $10 3-inch figure going on sale at Onell.store come 9:30 PM EDT tonight. It's cool - it's Vlix! The special design has the little kerchief and eyebrow, plus the color scheme. It's not Vlix, but it's the closest and I believe only thing that has come close this century. I love it. Read on!
