After debuting as 3 3/4-inch figures, Hasbro now has 6-inch versions for you on the horizon! Doctor Aphra will be jointed by 0-0-0 and BT-1 in summer 2019. That's a long ways off, but at least we know they're coming.
For the uninitiated, these characters are found in the pages of Marvel's Darth Vader and Doctor Aphra comic books.
Clear some space and check out these new photos!
In 2019, Target will get a new version of Luke Skywalker in Stormtrooper Disguise - note the slicked-back hair. Slickback emeritus come complete with helmet, communicator, blaster, and what may well be some sort of sewage deco. Delicious.
Joining him is GameStop's Rocket Trooper, which you probably also don't recognize. The classic Stormtrooper body got a new helmet and a few other modifications for its release next year.
One of the most requested figures from The Last Jedi is coming to 3 3/4-inch action figures! Luke Skywalker (Crait) is his astral-projected form, mixing in various elements to a fraudulent, younger warrior. He's joined by the Rogue One Imperial Assault Tank Commander, so at least we've got some freshness coming in Summer of 2019.
From the new TV show that isn't The Mandalorian and you don't seem interested in watching are some really cool-looking animated action figures. Star Wars Resistance has a slate of new releases, and we're going to post them here now.
The younger characters with more colorful designs seem like we're absolutely nearing the "little brother phase" of franchises that go along and get handed down, looking for new audiences - but that doesn't mean they aren't nifty to look at, especially from The First Order side of things. Here's hoping Hasbro doesn't skimp on the vehicles for the show, which debuts next week.
(You weren't paying attention for that, were you?)
Hasbro didn't have a lot new to reveal at New York Comic Con so far, but we got a few new shots of things you might have missed. A deluxe General Grievous will join an utterly stunning Walgreens Exclusive Obi-Wan Kenobi from Clone Wars, 2003-style. (Nicely done, Steve, I'm jealous.) Both are 2019 items - expect Grievous in the first half and Kenobi late in 2019.
