Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 1,451

By Adam Pawlus — Wednesday, January 5, 2011

Hey kids, it's Han Solo!  This is basically the Endor coat figure, minus the coat, with a different head-- it came in a Battle Pack which you totally should have bought.  What else comes with him?  Read on!

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 1,450

Generally speaking Darth Vader action figures are black-- except this one, it's white.  From the Return of the Jedi: Infinities comic book, this is a repaint of the 2004 Vintage figure.  It's pretty good, if you like weird colored action figures.  Read on!

Paul at JediTempleArchives has compiled a comprehensive report of which of the original Kenner 100 action figures remain to be updated for the modern Hasbro line.  It's a great read with a few caveats but it looks like we're almost there! Click here for the report.

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 1,448

By Adam Pawlus — Friday, December 31, 2010

The year's not over yet!  If you're still sober and not arguing over ridiculousness on Twitter, read the last Figure of the Day for 2010, the Storm Commando!  It's a lot like the Scout Trooper, but there's a new helmet and some other tweaks. Read on!

Galactic Hunter: Best of 2010 and Year In Review

By Mike — Friday, December 31, 2010

2010 was a landmark year celebrating the 30th Anniversary of what many consider to be the best Star Wars film made, The Empire Strikes Back. For Hasbro action figure collectors, it presented a mixed bag of peaks and valleys as the year progressed. Toy Fair got things started with this year's BMF, the AT-AT, and the announcement of the new Vintage Collection and its fantastic retro style Kenner packaging.

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 1,447

While you're at Wal-Mart looking for Jabba, you might see Matchstick in some of their exclusive DVD figure 2-packs.  It's a good figure with a distinctive design, so it wouldn't kill you to pick him up to pilot your vehicles.  Or would it?  (It wouldn't.)  Read on!

Jabba Exclusive Back at Wal-Mart (Again), on Clearance

By Adam Pawlus — Wednesday, December 29, 2010

If you missed Jabba the Hutt this year, which was an elusive exclusive, you've potentially got a second chance to get one while proving the old saying "good things come to those who wait."  The exclusive is showing up again at some locations, generally scanning at $19.00 even, although sometimes the shelf tag says $26.00.  Previously, it was closer to $35, so why not go take a look and get one now?  It's certainly worth the $19 for Oola and Jabba alone.

Standing in front of one of the rollercoaster rides of 2010, the Gamorrean Guard is one of those must-buy figures from the year. You got one by now, right?  If not, go get one.  Then, after you've done that, you can read on!

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 1,445

By Adam Pawlus — Tuesday, December 28, 2010

Oh, I do love the Jawa action figures.  This guy is part of a 2-pack of great cartoon-style figures, one of too few aliens to appear in the TV-focused action figure line.  And it's still cheap, too!  Is it worth grabbing?  Read on!

Image Bank: SL20 Battle Droids

By Mike — Monday, December 27, 2010

Originally released last year for Target's Geonosis Arena sets, these red Battle Droids, one being a commander, are prime for the army building. Look out for a correction to a smaller size for the eyes by Hasbro for better accuracy.

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 1,444

By Adam Pawlus — Monday, December 27, 2010

As we wrap up 2010, let's look at one of the first figures from 2000-- it's the very first R2-B1!  Made with a chrome dome and only two legs, this figure wasn't exactly a step forward but it sure was colorful.  Is it worth snagging?  Read on!

Target Post-Christmas Clearance Started Early

By Adam Pawlus — Friday, December 24, 2010

If you're in the market for Target's Hasbro Star Wars exclusives from October and November, remaining inventory is half price.  I saw several of the Vintage 9-packs for $24.98, and other items remained-- while the stores are closed now, this should give you something to hunt for on Sunday.  Don't forget, the Cad Bane/IG-86 2-pack has a unique deco on the droid!  Merry Christmas!

Oh, what a difference ten years makes.  There was a time where Han Solo (Stormtrooper Disguise) was an unbelievably big deal-- first as a mail-in, than as this store exclusive.  Today?  Worthless.   It's still a nice figure though-- read on!

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 1,442

Is this Darth Maul the best so far?  Maybe!  It's certainly the best at sitting, and it's easily the best toy one so far.  There's still room for improvement, but this 1999 release is so good, Hasbro still has it in circulation today.  Read on!
