Team Galactic Hunter wishes you and yours a Happy, Safe, and Prosperous New Year! We're looking forward to all the new stuff coming up as the Star Wars franchise continues to grow and evolve with The Clone Wars series and 3D re-releases. Look for our Toy Fair coverage in February as Hasbro further unveils what they have planned in 2012 and beyond. Will The Vintage Collection continue? What's the next marquee vehicle?
A holdover from 2010, Wedge trickled in limited quantities over the summer and demanded a higher premium before Hasbro made him a little more readily available in later assortments in the fall and promises to re-issue him again in 2012. Hasbro utilizes X-wing Luke's body from 2006 along with that figure's hole for a lightsaber hilt. It's a decent head likeness of Red 2 that deserves a spot in your collection...if you can find him.
First previewed at New York Comic-Con, Hasbro launches their new micro sized Fighter Pods figurine page. With over 100 Fighter Pods figures from all six Star Wars films and The Clone Wars animated series, you can collect an entire galaxy of your favorite characters!
Another Geonosian Warrior came out with the new version of Delta Squad, which may be in stock at a Toys R Us near you. Go buy it. But is this figure worth it? Read on!
Today let's look at the animated incarnation of Ki-Adi-Mundi, a Jedi with a pretty surprisingly large amount of action figures behind him. Is this incarnation worth it? Read on!
It says "Hasbro" on the box, but this Star Tours Yoda is more of an abomination. It's ugly, and there are three variations of it involving lightsaber and skin coloring. Should you get it? (No.) Read on!
Tis the season for randomly marked-down products! Walmart has marked down their Ultimate Gift Sets for Star Wars as well as Transformers and Beyblade, but prices vary by store-- the $30 sets were as little as $15 in my neighborhood, which is a steal given you get 5 figures in the set.
There are two Silver R2-D2 figures. One was a vac-metal sold carded based on the 2000 Power of the Jedi figure mold. The second was a Saga Collection figure in a UK-only boxed set with a matte finishe, based on the Vintage 2004 mold. The set was pretty tough to get in the USA... but now you don't need to get it.
Ahhh the Battle Droid Commander. The token repaint of a decent mold, this guy also includes binoculars which make it just a little more different. Should you get one for your tanks? Read on!
