Image Bank: VC91 Rebel Pilot (Mon Calamari)

By Mike — Sunday, February 26, 2012

We normally like our Calamari lightly breaded, sauteed in garlic butter, with spicy cherry peppers, then pan fried to a golden crisp. But this new Mon Calamari A-Wing Pilot from the ROTJ Blu-Ray Deleted Scene is the business.

Image Bank: VC90 Colonel Cracken (Millennium Falcon Crew)

By Mike — Sunday, February 26, 2012

We finally have the Cracken released, and he's a mix of old and new. The head and top torso are new while the bottom legs are from 2006's Rebel Trooper (SAGA046).  The actual figure doesn't look anything like the guy on the cardback, who actually bears a close resemblance to one of the kiosk folks at my local mall, stubble and all.

Image Bank: VC89 Lando Calrissian (Sandstorm Outfit)

By Mike — Friday, February 24, 2012

Hello, what have we here? When it comes to Lando figures, the Skiff Guard outfit is probably the most popular, and Hasbro decided to add a chock full of accessories, including a Skiff Guard helmet and Force Pike, to elevate the new Deleted Scene figure from good to extraordinarily good. You can multi-task Lando from Skiff to Sandstorm by swapping out his hood and poncho.

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 1,748

By Adam Pawlus — Friday, February 24, 2012

This is the new Clone Trooper packaged with a BARC Speeder which you can buy pretty much anywhere.  Basically, it mixes up existing figures and gives you a ton of guns!  How is it?  Read on!

Image Bank: VC87 Luke Skywalker (Lightsaber Construction)

By Mike — Thursday, February 23, 2012

When Luke Skywalker Jedi Knight/Endor Capture was released in 2010, we thought he was the epitome of Luke action figureness. The end all. The template.

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 1,747

By Adam Pawlus — Thursday, February 23, 2012

Rounding out Yoda's squad of clones from the first episode of the TV show, Clone Trooper Rys is red and not terribly easy to find.  Should you get one?  Read on!

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 1,746

By Adam Pawlus — Wednesday, February 22, 2012

Way back in 1995, this Han Solo may have been one of the first new figures you bought.  He was packed heavily, and tended to stick around.  We've had dozens of Han figures since then, so how does this one stack up?  Read on!

Bespin Battle And Duel On Naboo Battle Packs

By Mike — Tuesday, February 21, 2012

We lacked the visual aid due to Hasbro deciding not to release the Toy Fair Star Wars presentation to the collecting sites, but thanks to POTF2.com, we can now view the slide showing the upcoming Bespin Battle and Duel On Naboo Battle Packs.

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 1,745

By Adam Pawlus — Tuesday, February 21, 2012

This Han Solo is one of the best Hoth figures!  He can't sit on a Tauntaun, but the goggles can be removed and he has a working holster.  Which, really, makes me happy.  Will you like it?  Read on!

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 1,744

By Adam Pawlus — Monday, February 20, 2012

While this new Movie Heroes Jar Jar Binks isn't perfect-- we already know a new one is coming after him-- it's still fun and a refreshing take on a character we haven't seen much of lately.  Should you get it?  Read on!

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 1,743

By Adam Pawlus — Friday, February 17, 2012

There are a lot of Wedge Antilles figures out there, and this one is-- in some respects-- one of the best.  It was packaged with an X-wing at Target a few years ago, and it's taller than the Vintage one which will be reissued shortly.

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 1,742

By Adam Pawlus — Thursday, February 16, 2012

Another Clone Trooper!  New sculpts aren't too common, but this is a new one.  Is it great?  Does it need some work?  Read on, and vote in the new poll about the second wave of Star Wars Movie Heroes figures too!

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 1,741

By Adam Pawlus — Wednesday, February 15, 2012

My flight just landed, but I wrote up this Rum Sleg a while ago.  It's pretty awesome, and sadly is not part of the Episode I Redux going on right now.  It's a solid design, if a little weird, and feels very Star Wars-y despite

Going Green in '13

By Mike — Wednesday, February 15, 2012

Yakface.com has confirmed that the new line look for 2013 will be Yoda for the anticipated 3D release of Episode II: Attack of the Clones.  "The packaging uses a sweeping black/green theme and utilizes design cues and textures found on Geonosis", according to Yakface.

Toy Fair 2012: The Hasbro Star Wars Report

By Mike — Wednesday, February 15, 2012

2011 was, to put it mildly, a lackluster year for Star Wars action figure collecting.  Lackluster in that it didn’t quite meet the promise of 2010, where The Vintage Collection was launched with such alacrity and The Clone Wars line churning out great episodes and figures. Last year, we had distribution issues, waves of figures that were held back, and even other waves that were found on discount pegs at TJ Maxx before you even found them at a Target.
