Galactic Hunter Video Theater Presents: The Clone Wars - Sacrifice

By Adam Pawlus — Wednesday, April 23, 2014

The Clone Wars gets it second end with Sacrifice. Yoda's story continues as he journeys to the Sith world Moraband (nee Korriban) as spirits of evil tempt and attempt to frighten the Jedi master. Mark Hamill does a voice, the Priestesses are back, and if nothing else it's an impressive new installment of Star Wars lore. Read on!

Galactic Hunter Video Theater Presents: The Clone Wars - Destiny

By Adam Pawlus — Friday, April 18, 2014

Riddles, mystery, and abstract characterizations are your Destiny this time. Having quickly dispatched the trials of Qui-Gon Jinn on Dagobah, Yoda leaves the world of 21st century science fiction and enters a series of prog rock album covers while dabbling in themes that aren't standard kid show fare. Five priestesses guide the Jedi master through the journey, effectively acting as the sequel to the storyline featuring the Son a few years ago. Read on!

Galactic Hunter Video Theater Presents: The Clone Wars - Voices

By Adam Pawlus — Tuesday, April 15, 2014

Yoda gets to be the center of attention as he starts hearing Voices. A little bit of dialogue from Revenge of the Sith gets extrapolated and moved around a bit, with Yoda encountering suspicion from the Jedi council and Anakin's proclivity toward dumping on authority start off what may well be one of the more important - or at least interesting - stories of this entire series. Read on!

Galactic Hunter Video Theater Presents: The Clone Wars - The Lost One

By Adam Pawlus — Thursday, April 10, 2014

New story time! The Clone Wars gets consequential with The Lost One. A lost Jedi ship is found. There are new suits for the Clones. Dooku shows up. This episode feels like an entire season's worth of goodies packed into about 23 minutes. Read on!

Galactic Hunter Video Theater Presents: The Clone Wars - The Disappeared, Part II

By Adam Pawlus — Tuesday, April 8, 2014

Let's end an arc! The Clone Wars gets an actual "part 2" with The Disappeared, Part II. In six seasons, nothing has ever been designated a part 1 or a part 2 - but that's actually not the biggest surprise, as a dangling thread returns to potentially dangle some more. Read on!

Galactic Hunter Video Theater Presents: The Clone Wars - The Disappeared, Part I

By Adam Pawlus — Thursday, April 3, 2014

It's time for the team-up everybody wanted but nobody asked for! In The Clone Wars we kick off another story with The Disappeared, Part I. Jar Jar Binks has a girlfriend! Mace Windu is here! There's a lot of doom in a temple! You're in for a treat, folks. Read on!

Galactic Hunter Video Theater Presents: The Clone Wars - Crisis of the Heart

By Adam Pawlus — Monday, March 31, 2014

Another arc of The Clone Wars comes to an end with Crisis at the Heart. Let's pretend that there are real stakes in the Skywalker marriage - will Clovis split Padme from Anakin? No, of course not. But will it play out in an interesting way? Sort of - the real action is in Palpatine's head. Read on!

Galactic Hunter Video Theater Presents: The Clone Wars - The Rise of Clovis

By Adam Pawlus — Thursday, March 27, 2014

The Clone Wars slows down a bit with The Rise of Clovis. While we've had some of these themes played out before, we get to see a bit more of Anakin and Padme's "marriage" plus a really cool backstory for Clovis, which gives us limited insight into cultures in galaxies far, far away. Read on!

Galactic Hunter Video Theater Presents: The Clone Wars - An Old Friend

By Adam Pawlus — Monday, March 24, 2014

The Clone Wars continues in Galactic Hunter Video Theater with An Old Friend the good news is that it's a new arc. The bad news? It's a Padme arc, and Clovis is back from season 2. On the bright side, Anakin is along for the ride, as is Embo and his pet - but jealousy rears its ugly head yet again and apparently being married with a kid isn't enough for a Jedi, but whatever. Let's read on!

Galactic Hunter Video Theater Presents: The Clone Wars - Orders

By Adam Pawlus — Thursday, March 20, 2014

The Clone Wars on Netflix finishes its first arc in Galactic Hunter Video Theater with Orders. We get to leave the dreary blah grey of Kamino for an action-packed tour de Force in Coruscant, complete with tons of aliens, night clubs, and wild chases through the streets. Sure, we've been here before, but it's fun! Read on.

Galactic Hunter Video Theater Presents: The Clone Wars - Fugitive

By Adam Pawlus — Monday, March 17, 2014

The Clone Wars on Netflix on Galactic Hunter Video Theater continues with: Fugitive, which comes complete with the same scenery as last week, with even more Clones and flying whales and reminders of that final prequel. It's a lot more fun than the last episode, if for no reason other than to see a clone play detective. The whole "soldier" rhetoric wears thin, but it's a good time so read on!

Galactic Hunter Video Theater Presents: The Clone Wars - Conspiracy

By Adam Pawlus — Thursday, March 13, 2014

Galactic Hunter Video Theater continues season six of The Clone Wars on Netflix. This week's episode: Conspiracy, where all of the high-flying action from last week is tossed out in favor of basically telling you what you already knew. At least we meet a cool little robot, right? Read on!

Galactic Hunter Video Theater Presents: The Clone Wars - The Unknown

By Adam Pawlus — Monday, March 10, 2014

We're back? I'm surprised too! Welcome to the temporary return of Galactic Hunter Video Theater as we look at the encore of The Clone Wars on Netflix. This week's story: The Unknown, in which exposition happens and fan-favorite Admiral Trench returns! We'll look at one episode per week until supplies (or authors) are exhausted, so let's dive back into the prequel era for what may well be one final round of stories.

Galactic Hunter Video Theater Presents: The Clone Wars - The Wrong Jedi

By Adam Pawlus — Tuesday, March 5, 2013

This week on The Clone Wars: Events are shown to have actual consequences with The Wrong Jedi. Like last season's final arc, we see events actually cause big changes to the Clone Wars storyline, with actual weight, things that matter, and a reason to tune in for a change. Also, Tim Curry is this week's surprise guest voice. HUGE spoilers and video after the break.

Galactic Hunter Video Theater Presents: The Clone Wars - To Catch a Jedi

By Adam Pawlus — Tuesday, February 26, 2013

This week on The Clone Wars: Ahsoka is on the run some more in "To Catch a Jedi." Unlike many episodes of the series, this one is actually really exciting, giving us a chance to look at the lower levels of Coruscant (and we get so close to level 1313) as we get glimpses into just who (probably) really did set up the Jedi temple bombing a couple of weeks ago. While we don't meet many new characters, old familiar faces are back and will continue to make you mad that Hasbro isn't making more toys of these designs. Spoilers and video after the break.
