GHR hopes all of you are having an awesome Memorial Day weekend, enjoying a great long weekend and barbecue with the family, and honoring the brave who have served and presently serve this great nation of ours. There's a nice Target sale this week, and as we reported earlier, the B-Wings are cheap, but not for long. UPDATE: TRU also having a BOGO through June 2nd.

It's the 35th anniversary of Star Wars…nothing but STAR WARS! Which made GHR pause and think that the 30th Anniversary Collection was five years ago? Man, how time flies. Regular merchandise is showing up with more frequency, and so is older stuff at great close out discounts. Tuesday Morning was only an awesome tune from The Pogues until I recently found some Vintage Wave 9 for $5 each.

As we approach Memorial Day and the beginning of the summer season, the question on many collector's minds is when will new stuff start hitting and old merch clearanced out. With stores still carrying January stock, it's about time for a refresh.

There's finally some break through after a few months of a devil's existence and lingering TPM Wave 1's as Wal-Mart is receiving shipments of Vintage Wave 4 with Dr. Evazan, Aayla Secura, and Kithaba. 

Spring hunting has been pretty sparse with new merchandise at brick and mortars, probably due to the focus on some big super hero movie. As January launch waves of Movie Heroes and Clone Wars continue to hang on pegs, many collectors have turned to shopping online for the latest figures.

There are a few deals this week including a 50% off coupon at Target and another ToysRUs BOGO for their 3.75 inch action figures. Will the Discover The Force Battle Packs ever show up in stores again? This and an awesome new K-Mart sale in the latest Galactic Hunt Report!

In what seems to be the default retail flow for Walmart exclusives, the bargain chain finds continue as Jedi Temple Warchives...ehrmmm...Archives (Just kiddin Paul! We think your site rocks!), reports finding the Barc Speeder with Clone Trooper Buzz and AT-RT with Arf Trooper at a Ross Department store.

We are able to further confirm Yakface's report on the G8-R3 Harness Paint variant while hunting a Scottsdale, AZ Walmart. The unpainted harness appears to be the more uncommon for now. There's also a packaging/blister variation with the Discover The Force assortment. Hard core variant collectors take note.

Despite lingering stock of Movie Heroes Wave 1 and Clone Wars re-issues, we found the second wave of Movie Heroes featuring mostly new or "newish" figures, particularly the awesome new Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi with Light Up Lightsabers.

There's certainly been a disturbance in The Force the last few days with the passing of the legendary Ralph McQuarrie, Hasbro announcing a reduction in force of 170 employees, and Curto moving on. The store activity has also lulled, save for the recent Walmart markdowns. This week starts with a new TRU BOGO offer and hunting for some good online deals. 

Walmart's known to follow their own lead, so when it's time to make shelf space, why not start moving that "new" old stuff? No massive sale at ToysRUs this week, but there are a couple of items cheaper than usual.

There was a question in a past Q&A about finding The Legacy Collection Millennium Falcon (aka BMF) at retail and FREE Shipping. Well, we have the answer to this question, this week's ToysRUs deal, and an update to yesterday's Walmart $4 Vintage bonanza in today's Galactic Hunt Report!

Walmart screwed up, and it's to your benefit, Hunters. They've marked down ALL their Vintage Collection basic figures to $4 (regularly $8.96). ALL means the latest The Phantom Menace and Blu-Ray Deleted Scenes waves (if you can find them).

The second wave of Titanium 3 Packs have been spotted at a Target store in Southern California. This wave features vehicles from the Original Trilogy and includes re-issued versions of Luke's X-WING, the AT-AT, and Vader's TIE.

As things settle down from all the new TPM 3D product, it's time to go hunting for deals. And this week, we have the K-Mart B-WING on sale, Target has a coupon, and TRU another free goodie with purchase.
