It's good as gold! The Commander Pyre (Resistance line look) seems to be selling in my local stores - along with the other figures! They're neat, and it's not like we get a Stormtrooper with a name every year.  Read on!

Sort of a futuristic throwback, Major Vonreg (Resistance line look) is a skinny, brightly-colored figure that looks like he might have been at home in the 1980s Droids line - so you know I love it.  But will you?   Yes.  It's red, it's a pilot, and it's probably the only figure we'll see of this guy.  Read on!

If you can find it, now that it's finally hitting shelves at Walmarts, this Stormtrooper (Mimban, The Vintage Collection) is fantastic.  Articulation is above par, it has two blasters, there's a cloth cape, and it's one of the best things going right now.  Again - provided you can find it.  Read on!

This General Grievous (The Black Series 6-Inch) is shipping now, and it's pretty fancy.  Hasbro left off the symbol on his cape, but did add pockets to store lightsabers in the lining.   It looks good, but lacks some of the articulation of the admittedly not-so-elegant 3 3/4-inch The Vintage Collection release from a few years ago.  Read on!

You probably should go run out and buy this Jarek Yaeger (Resistance line look)  if you see it.  It's a good human figure, with a good droid and a swappable head helmet accessory.  I don't assume there will be many more waves of Resistance, so go ahead and get the set unless you hate 1980s-style articulation that really works.  Read on!

Look, I like droids. So do you.  You already know you want and indeed need the Bucket R1-J5 (Resistance line look), which has a helmet instead of a dome.  It's awesome.  Read on!

Starring in Resistance is Kaz Xiono (Resistance line look)!  You're probably not watching the show, but Hasbro did a good job with the figure.  It has a nice silhouette, stands and sits well, and feels like a classic Kenner action figure (made in 2019.)  The face paint is really good too - read on!

I really like the Imperial Patrol Trooper (The Black Series 6-Inch).  You can see elements of other troopers in here, like shins from various Rogue One troopers, a helmet that looks like a mutant Stormtrooper, and body armor that's vaguely recalling the 1983 Biker Scouts.  Read on!

This Rio Durant (Solo: A Star Wars Story line look) is a little tough to find, but you can still grab it if you're able to find one.  He has removable goggles, two blasters, and a ton of articulation.  Read on!

It's Val!  As Force Link 2.0 fades into memory, the last wave is something you should chase down - there were some good figures in this one.  Val turned out particularly well, and as the only 3 3/4-inch Val you probably should go ahead and get one. Read on!

This Stormtrooper (Galaxy of Adventures) is in tubes and possibly in a store near you. The detail and plastic are above and beyond what we've seen in the past, as is his height.   It's pretty spectacuar, and you're being charged accordingly.  Is it worth it?  Yes.  Is it worth army building at that price?  Read on!

This L3-37 (The Black Series 6-Inch)  is a nifty release from Solo: A Star Wars Story. She has a lot of astromech parts and is a self-made bot according to lore!  The articulation is good, the deco is nice, and the design is totally unique.  Read on!

We got a new Star Wars movie in 2018, but people didn't see it.  The name didn't appear on the toy packages.  You couldn't even get its star as a basic figure - Han Solo only came as a pack-in during the Solo: A Star Wars Story launch in theaters.  While not everyone loves all the new movies, it's hard to fathom why you wouldn't give kids access to the movie's title character in the basic assortment - as far as I know, for any franchise, this is kind of unprecedented. The figure was packed with a sound reader, which itself required a firmware update that wasn't offered for weeks after launch - and as of today, still isn't fully functional.  But was the figure nice? Read on!

Another new classic Original Trilogy figure? Two in one year? We're being spoiled!  Klaatu (Skiff Guard, The Vintage Collection) hadn't been retouched this century, so a remake seemed timely.  It seems to have more color than the actual costume from the movie, and the exceptional kind of articulation that qualifies as "standard" in 2019.  You know you want one - I assume you're buying one.  Read on!
