If you were planning on going to Star Wars Celebration Anaheim in August... don't. The convention posted an announcement confirming what you assumed - that the convention in two months is just not a viable thing this year. Refunds or transfers are available if you bought a ticket, and if you didn't buy a ticket, keep up doing what you're doing.
If you are going to D-Con, Anaheim's Designer Con, this weekend be sure to stop by booth #3028 to see Cappy Space. You can pick up CPs&Qs AV Robot or R-Toolio there, or order it on this web site right here. These are Glyos-compatible figures and mix with The Outer Space Men as well as those 3 3/4-inch My Hero Academia figures you see at the GameStop. They look pretty sharp.
CPs&Qs AV Robot is a gold recolor of the Nemo's Factory AV Robot, while R-Toolio is a clever redeco of the Onell Design Hub set.
HasCon is on in Rhode Island right now - but it's pretty much over for the day at this point. The morning greeted guests with 90+ minute waits for exclusives, but otherwise fairly few crowds. Traffic is brisk, seating is plentiful, and it's a genuinely pleasant show to navigate. And our coverage begins here with shots of some full-size props seen on the show floor. Toys and more are incoming. You'll want to keep checking back, particularly if you are on the west coast and bored at work on a Friday afternoon.
Rumors have been swirling for months in Transformers and G.I. Joe circles, and the event will be in September within walking distance of the Omni Hotel, at Dunkin Donuts Center. There's a decent mall nearby with a movie theater, food, pants, and all the things you'll usually want to kill time or hide accidents at a show.
Via Twitter - the anniversary gets missed by a month, but at least there's a party:

I'm a big fan of Diamond Select Toys' vinyl banks - they're pretty cheap, pretty nice, and pretty sizable in an era where things are getting more expensive and smaller. At C2E2 in Chicago this weekend, they'll be selling an Exclusive Star Wars 1:4 Scale Jawa Vinyl Bank. The regular version has a droid caller, the convention exclusive version has a blaster. As a roughly 11-inch tall vinyl bank, it's pretty hefty for the asking price of just $22, particularly considering the low edition size of 250! See the full picture after the jump.
StarWarsCelebration.com said it best:
"After the impressive (most impressive) success of last year’s Empire-themed Star Wars Celebration V, we are thrilled to announce that the biggest party this side of the galaxy, Star Wars Celebration VI is setting down August 23-26, 2012 back at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida!"
More details after the jump.
We have tons of new pictures! Want to see in-booth shots of the newest waves of The Clone Wars and The Vintage Collection? How about life-size fan-made replicas of Ephant Mon, the Max Rebo Band, and Muftak? It's all here!
