Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,074: Han Solo (Mission Series 2013)

By Adam Pawlus — Thursday, January 2, 2014

NEW! And old.  Mission Series Han Solo is a pretty good toy, although you may not be crazy about him as a collectible.  Hasbro mercifully dropped the dangling separate holster, which allows this figure to actually sit in your Millennium Falcon without much of a problem.  Even though Chewie is kind of gnarly, get this set if you can.  Read on!

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,073: R2-D2 (Mission Series 2013)

By Adam Pawlus — Wednesday, January 1, 2014

Happy New Year! Let's look at the new R2-D2 that comes with C-3PO in the latest wave of Mission Series 2-packs that you can lie to yourself and say you're "skipping" when you probably haven't seen them for sale yet.  This astromech droid is based on the R4-P44 Saga Legends mold, with far fewer paint applications.  He's cute, but in all seriousness, he needs at least one or two more painted panels.  Read on

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,072: C-3PO (Mission Series 2013)

By Adam Pawlus — Tuesday, December 31, 2013

New sculpt!  This C-3PO has 5 points of articulation, comes with R2-D2, and costs $10.  It isn't shiny like the $10 Vintage figure from 2004, but it has a better sculpt and the same amount of articulation.  I don't understand, either.  Read on!

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,071: Obi-Wan Kenobi (Mission Series 2013)

By Adam Pawlus — Monday, December 30, 2013

New deco and new arms! Obi-Wan Kenobi has been given a "realistic" figure based on his later Clone Wars appearances for Mission Series.  He comes with the Darth Maul we looked at last week, and is arguably a better figure than his predecessor. Read on!

StarWars.com Reveals Imperial Inquisitor Action Figure

By Adam Pawlus — Monday, December 30, 2013

We had a glimpse at the packaging, but now we can see StarWars.com's preview of the Star Wars Rebels Inquisitor Action Figure.  The early painted sample seems to have filled in the lines on his face with paint, so I assume the final may appear slightly different.  The style is not quite movie and not quite animated, but it does include a lightsaber similar to the spinning one concocted by Hasbro for Generat Grievous a few years ago.  It also has 5 points of articulation.  Click here to see more!

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,070: Darth Maul (Mission Series 2013)

By Adam Pawlus — Friday, December 27, 2013

Here is the Section Saga Legends.  Your bonus points is 4.   Let's try the Section Mission Series!

Darth Maul gets a pretty dang good figure - it's not what you've expected from The Black Series, but it's a delightful mutant figure that feels like it belongs in your 1984 toy box with other Jabba thugs!  It's wonderful.  He has 5 points of articulation and a lightsaber, but my guess is most of you won't like him.  Me?  I love it.  Read on

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,069: Clone Commander Cody (Saga Legends 2013)

By Adam Pawlus — Thursday, December 26, 2013

NEW! This Clone Commander Cody is a Saga Legends release you may see in stores soon, or you'll need to order it online.  His backpack is removable, and his antenna is bent - but you can fix it.  Read on!

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,068: Captain Rex (Saga Legends 2013)

By Adam Pawlus — Wednesday, December 25, 2013

Hey hey, it's the first-ever, brand-new, movie-style Captain Rex!  This Saga Legends figure is pretty new and I haven't seen it in stores yet - it's good, I think you'll like it.  The deco ain't bad and the holsters work, so I'm pretty pleased with this one.  Read on!

UPDATE: Links fixed! Click here to see it.

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,067: Stormtrooper (Saga Legends 2013)

By Adam Pawlus — Tuesday, December 24, 2013

NEW! This is Hasbro's first completely new Stormtrooper action figure in years - the bulk of the Sandtroopers and Stormtroopers you've seen have been derived from parts originally designed in 2004 or 2005, with few exceptions. This all-new figure has 5 joints and is beautiful.  You should all be furious that you can't go buy a dozen of them - I just want to get a few more myself!   Anyway, read on!

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,066: Boba Fett (Saga Legends 2013)

By Adam Pawlus — Monday, December 23, 2013

From that lovely Lava Line Look, it's a new Boba Fett from Saga Legends!  It's not bad.  Some of you won't like it because it's under-articulated, but it's not like you can buy it at a store near you anyway.  Is it worth it?  I think so.  Read on!

Amazon Droid Factory Figures: Now 60% Off, Greedo now $11.99

By Adam Pawlus — Friday, December 6, 2013

In what I can only assume is to make early adopters who paid $59.99 not a month and change ago feel as foolish as possible, Amazon cut the price on the  Star Wars Legacy Collection Droid Factory Action Figure 6-Pack to a mind-blowing-but-why-stop-now $23.99.  Black Series figures ($11.99 Greedo) and other items also received deep cuts, and since we're going to go ahead and say this qualifies as news, you'll see more of them after the jump.

Ad: Amazon Star Wars Black Series 6-Inch Sandtroopers for $10.12

By Adam Pawlus — Wednesday, December 4, 2013

Ad: While you probably don't need more Black Series 6-Inch Sandtrooper Action FIgures, Amazon has them for $11.24 $10.12 - the best price I've seen yet.  The armor is largely removable and I assume the dirt comes off, so customizers/troop builders/clearance finders - this is the time to order some Sandtroopers!
